Bendix honors Platinum distributors

ELYRIA, Ohio – Seven Canadian companies were recognized by Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems for outstanding achievement in its Premier Distributor Program.

Seven out of 36 distributors to earn the highest ranking of platinum were from north of the 49th.

They are: CBS Parts Ltd. of B.C.; Fort Garry Industries of Winnipeg; MacArthur Truck and Trailer from Brandon, Man.; Harman Heavy Vehicle Specialists out of Kitchener, Ont.; Ottawa’s Malmberg Truck Trailer Equipment; Ressorts Maska of St. Hyacinthe, Que.; and Dartmouth, N.S.-based Parts for Trucks.

To achieve platinum status, distributors must place in the top 10 percent of the comprehensive Bendix independent aftermarket distributor network, which covers the United States and Canada.

Distributor performance is evaluated in six key business performance areas. The highest scoring distributors are rewarded on a sliding scale with enhanced support from Bendix.

The program, says the company, benefits Bendix as well by strengthening the manufacturer’s channel partner relationships through improved, two-way communication and clearly defined annual expectations.

UPDATE: A previous version of this article mistakenly left Parts for Trucks of Dartmouth, N.S. off the listing of Canadian Platinum distributors. We regret the error.
