ELYRIA, Ohio (Dec. 22, 2004) — Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC announced its 2005 schedule for Air Brake Training School, including one stop in Canada this upcoming spring.

The Bendix school curriculum covers the fundamentals of compressed air, air system failure mode diagnosis tactics and troubleshooting. This year’s classes feature exercises that emphasize hands-on opportunities for participants. Last year Bendix air brake experts trained more than 8,000 people, equaling just over 40,000 student hours.

The ASE-certified Bendix Service, Warranty and Training (SWAT) team conducts as many as 29 three-day, in-depth product schools each year. Specialized, on-site fleet training is also available.

The company is adding nine new cities to this year’s class schedule. The new locations are Trussville, Ala.; Santa Ana, Calif.; Fredrick, Md.; Springfield, Mass.; Pittsburgh; York, Pa.; Houston; San Antonio; and Tacoma, Wash. Its Canadian event will take place in Montreal, April 26-28.

The all-inclusive course incorporates description, operation and service elements for the total range of components found within dual air brake systems. Additional topics covered include the latest developments in antilock braking systems and new disc brake technology. Operational air brake demonstration boards, cutaways and visual aids demonstrate the components and related systems.

The course costs $200 per attendee ($300 in Canadian funds).

Class size is limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
All locations, times and registration information can be found online at www.bendix.com or by calling 800-AIR-BRAKE (800-257-2725).
