Bison herds in logistics award

WINNIPEG, Man. — Bison Transport was presented with the Supply Chain Logistics (SCL) 2007 Award for Outstanding Vision, Leadership and Innovation at the 2007 SCL National Conference in Toronto on May 1.

Receiving the award on behalf of Bison were Rob Penner, vice-president of operations, and Brian Kuzdub, senior manager, national accounts.

The Innovation Award was presented to Bison for it’s on-going commitment to building strong partnerships with organizations such as SmartWay and FleetSmart, as well as creating innovative transportation solutions (including Intermodal and Turnpike Operations) to help improve service to customers and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition, Bison continuously promotes the ongoing development of its drivers with “Tatonka”, its award winning Driver Development Program.

Bison Transport was also recently recognized for its Safety program by winning the Grand Prize of the Truckload Carriers Association National Fleet Safety Award for both 2005 and 2006.
