Bison Opens New $25 Million Terminal

MISSISSAUGA, ON – One of the largest trucking fleets in Canada has opened a more than $25 million expansion of its Mississauga terminal.

Bison Transport says the investment in the 19,000 square foot facility will help with expected future growth, including plans to double its fleet size in Ontario within the next two years.

The new facility is located near the Dixie/401 interchange and will become the primary eastern Canadian hub for Bison’s growing highway and regional fleets that serve the Ontario and Quebec marketplace, according to the company.

“We have been preparing for aggressive growth and we are excited to fully capitalize on the current business conditions and provide more options for our customers. The facility supports our staff and drivers and provides excellent amenities,” says Rob Penner, president and chief operating officer. “Our operation has outgrown our current building, which we will now convert to a maintenance facility. This will increase our ability to repair and maintain our equipment more efficiently ultimately increasing earnings for our professional drivers.”
