Bison Transport honors safe driver

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Bison Transport will honor one of its drivers for his impressive safety record at an upcoming awards banquet.

Aprim Shemoun of Vaughan, Ont., an owner operator with Bison Transport since 1994, has been accident-free for 16 consecutive years.

The Mississauga, Ont.-based carrier says he achieved the milestone through his dedication to safety as part of Bison’s fleet of city drivers in the Greater Toronto Area.

“He has represented both Bison and our industry with the utmost professionalism,” a Bison press release states. “He takes pride in ensuring our customers’ requirements are met and their freight is safely delivered.”

Bison Transport will formally recognize Aprim’s achievement at its annual awards banquet.

“We congratulate Aprim on his achievement,” says Garth Pitzel, director Safety and Driver Development for Bison. “As a professional driver and owner operator, Aprim is a role model setting a benchmark in safety that very few achieve.”
