AUSTIN, Texas — Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) distributor Brenntag North America has won an award for responsible distribution excellence.

The Responsible Distribution Excellence Award was presented by the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) at the group’s annual trade show.

“NACD is proud to recognize Brenntag North America as the fifth recipient of this award,” said Bruce Schechinger, chairman of the board. “Their commitment to process improvement, their involvement in the local community, and the education of their employees have established them as high achievers. Brenntag North America is an outstanding example of Responsible Distribution in action.”

“Brenntag considers it a privilege and honour to be the recipient of NACD’s 2010 Responsible Distribution Excellence Award as this process serves as the fundamental principle on which Brenntag conducts business on a daily basis,” said David Garner, v.p. of operations for Brenntag. “Our personnel are dedicated to the on-going implementation of Responsible Distribution. We believe this process brings value to not only our organization, but to our customers and suppliers as well. Responsible Distribution is also recognized by outside organizations as a viable demonstration of our commitment to sustainability.”
