Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations appoints new VP marketing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) has named Matthew Stevenson vice-president of marketing for its commercial tire division.

Stevenson’s background in marketing for commercial vehicle and component companies includes his most recent position as general manager of North American field operations and marketing for Meritor. In this role, he was responsible for the leadership of the DriveForce organization, including field sales, service, training, fleet and dealer relationships and product marketing for the truck, trailer and specialty business units. Before joining Meritor in 2010, Stevenson spent 10 years at Daimler Trucks North America in sales and marketing. He also held the position of chief operations officer for Daimler’s Mitsubishi Fuso division.

“Matthew brings extensive experience building strong relationships with customers in the commercial vehicle industry,” said Philip Dobbs, CMO for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations – North America. “I am excited to have him on board to help us elevate awareness of the needs of our customers, and help us in meeting those needs. He will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Stevenson has a bachelor’s degree in management from GMI Engineering and Management Institute (now Kettering University) and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
