Bruce R Smith offers Learn To Earn scholarship
SIMCOE, Ont. — Bruce R. Smith has created a full scholarship open to any individual in Ontario looking to start a career as a commercial truck driver.
The fleet will be sponsoring the full tuition of the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) certified course that is offered at Fanshawe College in Simcoe with training partner KRTS Transportation Specialists Inc.
John H. Smith, president and CEO of Bruce R. Smith, said the program is a new way the carrier can recruit and retain quality people.
“The Learn To Earn Scholarship demonstrates an unconventional way for a carrier to recruit the best entry level drivers,” says KRTS President Kim Richardson.
