TORONTO, Ont. — The annual search for Canada’s 50 best-managed companies has begun.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies program recognizes Canadian companies that have implemented world-class best business practices and created value in innovative ways.

National sponsors are Deloitte & Touche, CIBC Commercial banking, National Post and Queen’s School of Business.

An independent judging panel evaluates how companies address various business challenges such as new technologies, globalization, brand, leadership, the new generation of people entering the labour market and more.

The value of being recognized as a 50 Best company extends well beyond the award itself. During the last decade, winning the award has become a tool for winners to drive new business, secure capital for growth, improve employee morale and attract top talent.

Nominations will be accepted through to July 30, 2003. Winners will be honoured at a gala event Feb. 9, 2004.
Information on qualifying criteria and how to apply is available online at www.canadas50best.com
