PORTLAND, Ore. (Jan. 10, 2005) — Freightliner Trucks announced last week that vehicles built after Feb. 1, 2005 equipped with a factory-installed Delphi stereo system and Sirius Satellite Radio tuner will include one full year of Sirius Satellite Radio service for the customer.

“We believe this offer will generate significant interest from fleet customers as well as owner-operators as a valuable driver-benefit,” said Mark Lampert, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Freightliner Trucks, said in a press release.

This offer of Sirius satellite radio service is available on the Freightliner Coronado, Century Class S/T, Columbia, Classic XL, Classic, FLD SD, Argosy and all vehicles in the Business Class M2 product.

In early 2004, CBC Radio-Canada and Sirius have inked a deal to bring Sirius’ commercial-free satellite radio programming to Canada. The companies filed an application with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for a license to provide the satellite service.
