The survey, conducted with the support of more than a dozen major industry suppliers, drew a record response. More than 600 industry professionals ranging from private and for-hire fleet managers to owner/operators participated.
All participants will soon receive highlights of the results and be entered in a draw for $1,000. Also, the first 25 owner/operators to fill in the survey will be sent copies of hte Owner-Operator Business Skills Course CD produced by the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council.
This year’s survey, in addition to the traditional examination of buying trends for a variety of equipment, examined into the impact of the new hours of service on operational productivity, the performance of the new engines and the likelihood of another pre-buy.
