Canadian APU maker opens U.S. manufacturing facility

TORONTO — RigMaster Power Corp. announced the opening of a second manufacturing facility to build its popular RigMaster Power APU.

The second facility, located in Olathe, Kan., will operate in addition to the current factory in Toronto — dramatically increasing the number of APUs produced each year.

“Over the past year we’ve done everything possible to increase production at our current location, including the addition of another shift. The only option we had left was expansion,” explains RigMaster Power Corp.’s operations manager Ken Tchir. “And since so much of our customer base is in the U.S., it makes sense that we build our product there”.

RigMaster will continue to operate sales and administration out of its corporate office in Toronto, as well as maintaining the same level of production already generated from the current facility.

The Olathe location is set to begin production in early March and will also house the RigMaster parts distribution operation for North America. This will make it easier for RigMaster’s rapidly expanding dealer and customer base to obtain parts and service, the company says.
