Canadian bulk hauler honoured by tank truck group
TORONTO, (May 24, 2005) — Ted Gorski of Windsor, Ont.-based Gorski Bulk Transport was honoured recently by the National Tank Truck Council for his contribution as the association’s president in 2004/2005.
Gorski was the fifth Canadian to be so honoured, says the Ontario Trucking Association.
Both Gorski and OTA Vice-President Barrie Montague attended the NTTC annual meeting held in Chicago.
Montague made a presentation where he addressed the latest regulatory initiatives in Canada and Ontario, in particular, potential changes to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations, the OTA’s position on the proposed HOS regulations, and the possible use of a FAST card as a surrogate for a security clearance check to meet the US requirements for drivers transporting dangerous goods.
