WARRENVILLE, Ill. — Alberta-based truck dealer, Brad Glover of Glover International was recognized by International Truck and Engine as their 2006 Dealer of the Year.

Glover operates six full-service dealerships throughout Alberta and was honoured during Internationals 27th Annual Circle of Excellence black-tie awards ceremony held in the Cayman Islands.

“Our annual Dealer of the Year recognizes the best of a very elite group. In order to earn this recognition, a dealer must be a consistent Circle of Excellence honoree, achieve extraordinary market penetration in new truck sales, realize strong growth in parts sales, demonstrate strong commitment to the leasing business, earn top customer satisfaction scores, and have a facility plan that effectively represents the International brand,” said John Whitnell, International’s vice-president, dealer operations.

Glover is the eighth recipient of this prestigious honor, awarded annually based on strict performance criteria to only one of the more than 350 International dealers and distributors throughout the world.

Circle of Excellence was established to honour those International dealerships that best exemplify commitment to the International Diamond Standards Program. The program measures dealer performance in terms of operating and financial standards, market representation, and most importantly, customer satisfaction.

From the inception of his tenure as a dealer, Brad Glover has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to his employees and customers. As a result, he has achieved outstanding market representation for his dealership and the International brand, noted Whitnell. This year, the overall performance metrics of Glover International Trucks pushed Brad to the top of our rankings and earned him well-deserved recognition as our 2006 Dealer of the Year.

Glover became an Apprentice Heavy Duty Technician in 1987 in Camrose, Alta. at the age of 19 and he received his Journeyman Certificate in 1991. He then worked his way through the parts side of the business and eventually into truck sales. He became dealer principal of Glover International Trucks in 2000 and has been a Circle of Excellence winner every year since.

Our desire to grow the business, place our customers and their needs first, along with providing exceptional service throughout our six locations has been integral to our teams success, said Glover. With loyal customers, dedicated employees and a customer-focused approach, weve earned the 2006 Dealer of the Year award-a true recognition of all the successful relationships weve built with our customers in Western Canada.
