WINNIPEG, Man. — A Canadian driver is once again a finalist in the Truckload Carriers Association’s annual Company Equipment Driver of the Year competition.

John (Ralph) Boles, a professional driver and in-cab instructor with Bison Transport has been named one of three finalists for the award, which features a grand prize of a Dodge Ram pick-up truck courtesy of sponsors, including Cummins.

Last year, the TCA Company Equipment Driver of the Year was Canadian. Doug Ladds of MacKinnon Transport took the top spot last year, including keys to the new pick-up truck.

Boles has been with Bison for 35 years and actively helps train and evaluate new hires. He’s a founding member of Bison’s Driver Advisory Board. He joined Bison after serving as a proud member of the Canadian Navy.

The award will be presented during the TCA’s annual convention March 8-11 in Orlando, Fla.
