Canadians named to Kenworth’s dealer council

KIRKLAND, WA – Bill Currie of Inland Kenworth in Burnaby, B.C., and Vince Tarola of Kenworth Truck Centres in Concord, Ont. have been named to the 2015 Kenworth Dealer Council.

They join five Americans on the council, which works with Kenworth Truck Company to direct its customer support efforts.

The council features leading executives from among the more than 360 Kenworth dealerships in the United States and Canada.

Members of the 2015 Kenworth Dealer Council are:

  • Chairman: Mike Murphy, MHC Kenworth, Leawood, Kan.;
  • Will Bruser, Truckworx Kenworth, Birmingham, Ala.;
  • Bill Currie, Inland Kenworth, Burnaby, B.C.;
  • Carl Herzog, Central Illinois Trucks, Normal, Ill.;
  • David Laird, Papé Kenworth, Eugene, Ore.;
  • Tim Spurgeon, MHC Kenworth, Leawood, Kan.; and
  • Vince Tarola, Kenworth Truck Centres, Concord, Ont.

In addition, Jodie Teuton of Kenworth of South Louisiana in Gray, La., serves as the Kenworth line representative for the American Truck Dealers (ATD).

“This year’s Kenworth Dealer Council features an excellent group of very experienced and customer-focused Kenworth dealer executives,” said Mike Murphy, the council’s chairman and MHC Kenworth president. “Fleets and truck operators depend on the Kenworth dealer body to provide quality new and used trucks, service and parts to meet their needs. The council is focused on continuing to enhance and advance that strong support and experience.”

“Kenworth dealers are on a continual mission to increase locations and add operating hours to provide The World’s Best customer service,” said Jason Skoog, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing. “In 2014, Kenworth dealers in the U.S. and Canada invested $120 million in facilities, opened 17 new locations and completed 7 major facility relocations, added 185 additional service bays, and increased weekend service hours by 19 percent.”
