Cancom Tracking
Cancom Tracking says it has grown its Internet-based equipment tracking service to include more than 1000 units.

Accessed via an Internet connection, the service provides carriers with direct access to accurate, continuous load status and location information, anywhere, anytime, the company says. The service displays the vehicle’s location and status, alerting you to any potential problems before they become emergencies. The service has added several features recently, including message acknowledgement, ignition information, proximity information, location history, message/location timestamp, message priority, asset name definition, and request poll position.

Also, an email alert may be sent to a pager or any other wireless device that has an email address. Dispatchers no longer have to be tied to a phone in order to be notified of a critical event, the company says.
