Cancom Tracking
Cancom Tracking will offer TurnpikeDirect, an Internet-based system that provides automatic fuel and mileage tax reporting.

Developed by Turnpike Global Technologies of Stoney Creek, Ont., TurnpikeDirect takes vehicle location data generated by Cancom’s satellite-based vehicle tracking system to create mileage reports for tax reporting. It can determine the number of miles driven in any given state or province, by truck and by fleet, and then compile, audit, and store the data preparing it for reporting and inquiries. By automating both fuel and mileage collection, the system provides all necessary reports in both kilometers and miles.

A major benefit to using Turnpike’s software is that since the software is accessed online, all quarterly rates and upgrades are automatically added as they become available, Cancom said.
