TORONTO, Ont. — Shell’s prestigious SuperRigs competition will be more accessible than ever to Canadians this year, with the addition of a Virtual SuperRigs contest that’s conducted entirely online.

The 30th annual SuperRigs competition is slated for May 17-19 at the Speedco in Joplin, Mo. Contestants will compete for a chance to win prizes totaling US$25,000 and a spot in the popular SuperRigs calendar.

This year, for the first time, a Virtual SuperRigs contest will be held in conjunction with the event, allowing truckers to submit a picture of their truck online, with the top vote-getter receiving a cash prize of $500. The winner will also receive My Miles Matter reward program points, officials announced.

Truck owners can go to www.VirtualSuperRigs.com to enter the contest. Voting ends on May 11.
