Carlisle names new president

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Carlisle Motion Control Industries announces has appointed Joseph La Varra president.

La Varra is a high-impact business leader in the fields of manufacturing and business development with 25 years of experience in owning and managing automotive parts manufacturing companies.

As president, he will be responsible for all aspects of Carlisle Motion Control Industries’ operations and will spearhead the company’s aggressive growth plans.

For the past two years, Mr. La Varra owned Global Parts Solutions, a manufacturing consulting and auto parts sourcing business. Prior to that, he was vice-president and GM at Dana Brake and Chassis. He previously he held management positions at Brake Parts Inc., a unit of Echlin Corp, and at Hydraulics Inc., a unit of Brake Parts Inc.

Carlisle Motion Control manufactures and markets heavy-duty brake linings for vehicles in class sizes 6 through 8, and AltecT remanufactured brake shoes.
