FORT SMITH, Ark. — ABF Freight System announced it is revising its general rates and charges as of July 14.

The revision is expected to result in a 5.85 per cent increase for the motor carrier’s services, although the amount will vary by lane and shipment characteristic, say company officials.

ABF Freight System provides direct service to 50 states, nine Canadian provinces and Puerto Rico. In addition to service to Mexico, the carrier also offers service to 250 ports in more than 130 countries worldwide.

The carrier also provides guaranteed expedited service for time critical and time definite shipments.
