ATHENS, Ga. — Carrier Transicold recently promoted two individuals within its sales organization, with Greg Jones named director of National Accounts and John Monti succeeding him as Eastern Region director.

In Montis new position, he is responsible for three regional sales managers and 22 dealers located in 14 states and three provinces.

Monti has more than 25 years experience in the transportation and shipping industry. He joined Carrier in 2001 as a regional sales manager serving customers in the Mid-Atlantic states and West Virginia. Earlier in his career, Monti held positions with Utility Trailer, Great Dane, Trailmobile, Tankcargo Container Leasing and Contrans, primarily in sales and support, serving customers along the East Coast. He remains based in Lancaster, Pa.

From Carrier Transicolds Athens, Ga. location, Jones will oversee the team of sales managers responsible for developing programs with the companys largest customers in North America. With nearly 30 years experience in the transportation industry, he succeeds Scott Spaulding, who has retired.

Jones joined Carrier in 1997 as a regional sales manager and was promoted to Eastern Region director in 2001. Previously he served seven years with General Electrics Transport International Pool, a national trailer rental and leasing company, as director of maintenance. Before that he held various positions in training and sales in the transport refrigeration industry.
