BALTIMORE,Ill. — Castrol has introduced the Castrol Emergency Spill Kit and oil recovery contact list to help keep workplaces and employees safe.

The Castrol Emergency Spill Kit provides the materials to take immediate action in the event of a minor spill (15 gallons or less). The spill kit features universal absorbents that can handle many types of spills including oils, alkalides, acids, fuel chemicals and contaminated water.

The kit has simple instructions and color-coded contents that make it easy to use, including a drum plug compound, which, in many cases, makes it possible to seal the source of the leak; booms to help contain the spill and protect drains, gutters and waterways; absorbent pads to soak up the fluid; disposable bags and ties; flame retardant sawdust to soak up residues where appropriate; absorbent material; special disposal bags with 15-gallon capacity to safely contain waste material; and a list of used oil recovery companies.

Interested parties can obtain the list by calling Castrol at 1-800-777-1466 or writing: Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants North America, 9300 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, MD 21220. Customers may also visit www.castrolhdl.com
