CAT Scale expands network with Interstate Scales buy

WALCOTT, Iowa — CAT Scale Co. has entered into an agreement with
Hargett Enterprises, Inc., to purchase Interstate Scales from the company.

For the time being CAT Scale Company will operate Interstate Scales
intact while scale sites are evaluated. “We see this as a win-win,” says
Delia Moon Meier, senior vice-president, CAT Scale Company. “We are
excited about this. Interstate has a fully equipped and fully staffed
office, technical center and warehouse in Evansville, Indiana. With both offices, we are now only a one day drive to 70 percent of our scales.”

Interstate Scales consists of 143 truck scale locations throughout
the U.S.; located at truck stops.

CAT Scale is part of Iowa 80 Group that also owns and operates Iowa 80 TA Truckstop, Walcott, Iowa; Petro Stopping Centers in Joplin, Missouri and Oak Grove, Missouri; Kenly 95 TA Truckstop, Kenly, North Carolina, Truckomat Truck Washes; IOWA80.COM mail-order catalog and e-commerce web site; as well as the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum, Walcott, Iowa.
