CAT Scale launches new payment app

New card and mobile app allow drivers to weigh and pay without leaving the cab.NASHVILLE, TN – Electronic Funds Source LLC (EFS) has launched a payment card that, when used with CAT Scale’s new mobile app, allows drivers to weigh and pay without ever leaving the truck.

The EFS card will work at any of CAT Scale’s 1,550 locations in the U.S. and Canada, saving drivers both time and inconvenience when weighing, said Delia Meier, senior vice president of CAT Scale Company.

“We understand how valuable time is to a driver,” she said. “Using the Weigh My Truck app significantly reduces the total time it takes a driver to weigh.”

Drivers can create an account at www.weighmytruck.com, and then select their EFS Card as a form of payment. After completing a registration process, they’ll be able to download the mobile app to their smartphone.

When a driver then goes to weigh at any CAT Scale location, the mobile app uses the GPS location of the mobile device to initiate the point-of-sale allowing the driver to weigh.

“We’re excited about this new payment solution and the value it brings, not only to our fleet customers, but to our industry’s drivers,” said Karl Kelley, senior vice president of Merchant Services and Channel Sales for EFS. “We’ve seen a significant positive impact on hours of service and driver satisfaction among our customers using this mobile app payment solution, as drivers are spending less time weighing and more time on the road.”
