Caterpillar names new director for on-highway engine program

PEORIA, Ill. — Caterpillar has announced George Taylor will now lead the companys on-highway engines business.

As director of Caterpillar Power Systems North America, Taylor will be responsible for all aspects of the on-highway engine business including linehaul, over-the-road and vocational trucks as well as buses and RVs. He will also lead field service operations and parts marketing for all the Power Systems business sectors, the company reports.

Taylor replaces Jim McReynolds, who moves on to lead the Caterpillar Global Paving division.

“George Taylor has the strategic planning experience to enable us to continue our engine strategy of delivering customer value while meeting ever-tightening emissions requirements,” said James J. Parker, vice-president, Caterpillar Inc., Power Systems Marketing Division. “With a passion for our business, our people, our dealers and our customers, George provides solid leadership for the entire Power Systems North America team.”
