ARLINGTON, Tex. — National Cellular, based in Arlington, Tex., has developed a cellular amplifier kit to be used in weaker signal areas.

The TotalPower TP200 3-WATT BI-DIRECTIONAL CELLULAR AMPLIFIER KIT FROM NCI is a portable dual-band amplifier that works on both 800 and 1900MHz. It was developed to improve both transmit and receive signals on all current cellular platforms; AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, GSM and even GAIT phones.

The company also has the New Nextel/ iDEN amplifier available. For those" Push To Talk" Users.

Both are transportable, making installation unnecessary.
The TotalPower TP200 amplifier is FCC-approved, carrier-recommended and comes in a compact nylon weave bag. Also included is a cigarette lighter power cord to make connections easier.

All that’s needed is an RF input signal from your phone plus an external antenna and your useable signal range will be increased by up to 25 miles, the manufacturer claims, adding users who live in (or drive through) "signal-challenged" areas report dramatically improved cellular coverage.
