SAN RAMON, Cal. — Chevron has awarded one of its top distributors a new Kenworth delivery truck as part of its ‘Chasing the Truck’ promotion, which was open to US and Canadian distributors.

Driving away with the new truck was Sun Coast Resources of Houston, Texas. The company earned the top prize by achieving the greatest cumulative volume growth of eligible Delo products over the same period in 2010, Chevron announced. The Kenworth is a 26-ft. delivery truck wrapped in Delo graphics and loaded with state-of-the-art features, Chevron announced.

“This program was all about honouring top performing distributors, who are critical to the success of the Delo brand,” said Jim Gambill, Delo brand manager, Chevron. “Sun Coast is a great representative of the Delo brand and a worthy recipient of this prize.”

Sun Coast will use the truck to deliver bulk and package products to its customers. It says it will be adding a diesel exhaust fluid pump to the vehicle.

“Winning the 2011 Delo Chasing the Truck contest was a great reward for Sun Coast’s sales force, and proof positive that establishing aggressive goals and focusing on them, can pay off in a really big way,” said Kyle Lehne, Sun Coast’s vice-president of sales.
