ELGIN, Ill. — Chicago Rawhide will now be the main distributor of all Quik-Kool cooling system components in the North American commercial truck aftermarket.

Chicago Rawhide has joined forces with BorgWarner Cooling Systems to distribute its engine cooling system components. The complete line includes on/off fan clutches, repair kits, viscous fan drives, solenoids and polymer fans.

“We expect this partnership with Chicago Rawhide/SKF will allow BorgWarner Cooling Systems to utilize CR’s experience, contacts and distribution channels to expand our position in the aftermarket. This agreement will also help us in our efforts to continuously improve our customer service to our aftermarket customers,” says Keith Pierson, director of commercial sales at BorgWarner.

The partnership “creates a winning combination,” adds Mike McGrath, the aftermarket division sales manager for Chicago Rawhide.

BorgWarner Cooling Systems is part of the BorgWarner engine group, a global provider of engine cooling systems.

Chicago Rawhide, founded in 1878 as a commercial leather-products manufacturer, is today a world-wide supplier of radial lip shaft seals and precision-engineered elastomer products. The company is a subisidiary of SKF, the world’s largest bearing supplier.
