TORONTO, Ont — CITT has finalized the program for Reposition 2011, its learning and networking event for supply chain and logistics professionals.

Reposition 2011 will be held in Montreal, Quebec from October 26-28, 2011. Learning sessions now confirmed include:

Risk Management: Disaster Avoidance Planning A senior panel will discuss what logistics professionals are doing at operational levels to prepare for potential obstacles caused by climate change, labour problems and natural disasters. Speaker: Francois Rouette, Avocat, Cain, Lamarre, Casgrain, Wells How SAQ streamlined their supply chain efficiencies Delegates will learn how an integrated supply chain allowed the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) to improve its inventory turnover by 20 per cent over the last two years without any disruption to its customer satisfaction rate.

The Big Move Learn how six giant beer fermenters, each measuring 45 metres long and weighing over 43,000 kg. were moved from Germany to the Port of Hamilton. And then – in a stunning feat of logistical synchronization by Challenger Motor Freight – were moved down the road to Toronto.

This workshop focuses on the identification of the unintended messages and the effect they have on commitment, loyalty and performance. It includes exercises that explore ways how messages you are not aware of are typically sent. Speaker Stephen Young of Insight Education Systems.
