EDMONTON, Alta. — Alberta has hinted it has set aside $910 million for spending on infrastructure in the upcoming budget.

The City of Edmonton is hoping some of that money will go towards helping the city finish its ring road project.

“It’s really going to boil down to (the province’s) priorities,” Edmonton’s transportation and streets manager, Rick Millican, tells local media.

The $220 million ring road is already under way, with work expected to wrap up in 2006. The City is hoping the southeast section will receive some additional funding as part of the province’s increased infrastructure spending.
