CN Brampton slowdown blamed on carrier

BRAMPTON, Ont. — CN is attributing the slowdown at the BIT over the last few days to one carrier trying to circumvent the reservation system, CIFFA reports.

The response time of the Brampton Gate Reservation system became increasingly slow during the past few days, according to the Canadian Freight Forwarders’ Association.

According to CIFFA, CN determined the issue was directly related to one trucking company’s attempts to circumvent the system.

But the gate reservation system has now been repaired and the trucking company has been dealt with, according to CN. CN expects the response time will revert to its usual level, says CIFFA.
