CN expands intermodal terminal capacity in Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. — CN has announced it is increasing its intermodal terminal capacity in the Greater Toronto area.

Effective Sept. 19, CN’s Mississauga Intermodal Service Centre (MISC) will expand from its current role as a depot for empty steamship containers to provide staging services in support of CN Brampton’s international business.

Importers receiving their goods through CN’s Brampton intermodal terminal will now have two options for picking up their containers:

– Importers ready to receive their shipments upon arrival may pick up their container at CN Brampton on the day of grounding or the day after grounding
– For importers that require additional time to receive their shipment, CN will transfer their container to MISC, where storage charges will accrue at a lower daily rate.
