Communications firms team up

RESTON, Va. — Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) has inked a deal with EMS Technologies, which makes EMS the company’s newest service provider.

“For MSV, this partnership with EMS Technologies will create exciting opportunities to bring mobile satellite communications to new customers and new markets,” says Phil Clarke, director, business development for MSV. “EMS is a very well-respected organization in the satellite industry.”

Under the arrangement, EMS will become a packet-data service provider in the U.S. for MSV, using the EMS PDT-100 wireless two-way data communications radio with GPS tracking.

“We see an exciting opportunity for EMS to serve customers in targeted markets using MSV’s powerful network,” says James McMillan, director, sales and marketing – Land Mobile Products, for EMS Technologies’ SATCOM division. “MSV offers unparalleled coverage and extensive experience in delivering services anywhere and anytime.
