Company Adds Jobs, Gets Official Thanks

ST.-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIE, QB — It’s not often politicians stop by to express their thanks for something you have done but one did just that last week, during the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show in Weyburn, in a meeting with a trailer manufacturing executive.

Speaking briefly with Tremcar West President Jacques Tremblay, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall said he appreciated the company creating jobs in the province, especially now that the economy in the Western provinces has slowed the last several months.

The Quebec-based Tremcar said it has added 60 employees during the last two years and currently has a total of 800.

The family owned company manufactures tank trailers and truck mounts for the entire North American market.

According to the company, it is among the top four tank trailer manufacturers in North America, serving nearly 2 000 customers, within its six manufacturing facilities, four in Canada and two in the U.S.

It also has newly opened repair facilities in Weyburn and Saskatoon, plus three others in Canada and one in the U.S.
