BRAMPTON, Ont. — APPS Transport Group has taken over the operation and terminal of Legacy Transport Logistics in Richmond, B.C.

APPS West has partnered with Legacy Transport for several years to deliver for its customers in British Columbia. With this agreement, Legacy’s 70,000-sq. ft. terminal will be integrated into the APPS Transport Group operations. The Richmond terminal will act as a multi-use facility providing trans-load services for import shipments, warehousing for new and existing customers as well as servicing APPS’ burgeoning Western Canada LTL business.

“This move is part of APPS Transport’s strategic expansion across Canada,” says Rob McDonald, president of APPS. “From this terminal, we will have our own fleet and staff servicing Vancouver and throughout British Columbia, allowing us to continue to strengthen our service to our customers.

“This terminal operation will become a critical component of our ability to deliver on the service promises we make. It will also allow us to continue to innovate our transportation services for our clients while handling an ever-increasing volume of intermodal shipments.”

APPS took over Legacy Transport terminal operations Dec. 1.
