COMPETITION WATCH: Can-Am West opens Winnipeg terminal

WINNIPEG, Man. — Can-Am West Carriers has opened a Manitoba Truck Service Center in Winnipeg. The new facility was opened for business Oct. 4.

Tom Van Dam will be terminal manager and he will report to Fred Zweep, vice-president and general manager of Can-Am West Carriers.

“We are excited about The Manitoba truck Service Center as it will be a tremendous benefit to the continued growth of Can-Am West Carriers Truck Transportation Operations,” said Zweep.

The new terminal will serve as a driver recruitment and equipment maintenance facility where it will handle 25 company tractors specializing in van and open deck transportation services.

Can-Am West Carriers is a division of Vedder Group providing LTL and TL services throughout Canada and between Canada and the U.S.
