WINNIPEG, Man. — Can-Am West Carriers Group has announced it has juggled its management lineup to cope with exceptional growth over the past three years.

The carrier group (consisting of Can-Am West Carriers, Can-Am East Carriers, TTS, Columbia Bulk Transport and Border Fleet Services), announced the changes are aimed at ensuring continued success for its staff and customers. The company also said the shuffle will allow its management team to focus more in its strategic short- and long-term goals and expectations.

Effective May 1, Can-Am West president Larry Wiebe will occupy the newly created position of CEO of Can-Am West. He will continue to be involved in the management of the company, but most of his attention will be dedicated towards the long-term strategy of the organization.

Meanwhile, Fred Zweep, vice-president and general manager of Can-Am West Carriers will take over the role of president. Zweep will continue to lead the day-to-day operations of the company, focusing his attention on providing the tools, resources, growth opportunities and guidance to the organization.

Can-Am West is a division of Vedder Group and is one of Canada’s leading providers of truck transportation and logistics services throughout North America. The fleet offers dedicated and irregular route highway LTL and TL services within Canada and between Canada and the U.S.
