COMPETITION WATCH: Clarke announces completion of real estate acquisition

TORONTO, Ont. Clarke Inc. has completed a real estate acquisition consisting of a 50% interest in the land and building for eight warehousing facilities in Toronto.

As part of this transaction, Clarke has also acquired a 100% interest in the warehousing operations of ICW Logistics Inc., for nominal consideration.

ICW Logistics Inc has total assets of approximately $1.1 million, total liabilities of approximately $1.1 million and share capital of $1.

Founded in 1921, Clarke Inc. provides freight transportation services throughout North America. Through Clarke Transport and Clarke Road Transport, the Company offers highway service for both truckload and less-than-truckload (“LTL”) shippers; intermodal full load and LTL service throughout Canada and between Canada and the U.S.
