COMPETITION WATCH: CN to expand non-rail capabilities
MONTREAL, Que. — Canadian National Railway has announced it plans to expand its non-rail business, including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding, Customs services and logistics.
CN said it will also introduce new services such as retail intermodal trucking in the US under the newly formed CN WorldWide North America entity. The Canadian railway said it will focus its attention this year on increasing its materials handling ability across its network.
