COMPETITION WATCH FedEx to raise LTL rates
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — FedEx Freight officials announced Friday a 5.6 per cent rate increase on less-than-truckload freight effective May 16.
LTL officials said the increase will apply to shipments between the U.S. and Canada and Mexico.
Officials cited costs associated with new driver security requirements under the U.S. Trade Act of 2002 as one of the reasons for the increase.
