SOMERVILLE, N.B. — Early last week, Day & Ross staff began moving into their new office building: the former Central Carleton Elementary School in Somerville near Hartland.

The old elementary school was purchased in June as part of the provincial government’s commitment in the Charter for Change program, which works cooperatively with business to promote economic development and a self-sufficient New Brunswick.

The building, located on 14 acres and covers about 19,770 sq. ft. all on one level, can now accommodate about 100 employees working out of both offices and cubicles thanks to a $2 million renovation.

In addition to its head office building, Day & Ross had had office personnel working from three different off-site locations in the local area. With the addition of the former elementary school as an office building, the company now only requires two off-site buildings.
