CALEDONIA, Ont. — KRTS Transportation Specialists has added Challenger Motor Freight to its fleet of preferred carriers. Preferred carrier status allows carriers who have reached a prescribed status and criteria the opportunity to hire grads first from all KRTS campuses.

We are really pleased to welcome the Challenger group into the preferred carrier program. They have a proven track record of excellence and safety in our industry, said Kim Richardson, president of KRTS.

Preferred carriers participate in recruiting and retention seminars at KRTS campuses and corridor events across the province. These events are structured so that carriers can educate new and existing operators on what employment opportunities are available with in the industry.

KRTS is recognized as an elite training facility in North America and offers a PTDI certified course, said Jayne Gunn, recruiting supervisor at Challenger. This ensures Challenger that graduates have achieved a higher level of entry level training, professionalism and safety. We are confident the newly licensed drivers will have the foundation we desire to start them in their career as an apprentice with Challenger Motor Freight.
