COMPETITION WATCH: MacKinnon Transport announces promotions, senior appointments

GUELPH, Ont. — MacKinnon Transport has announced two significant promotions as well as additional appointments to the Senior Management Team.

Effective July 1st, 2005, Greg Coughlin has accepted the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Rick Miller has accepted the position of Vice President of Operations.

Rick and Greg join Graham Keltie who joined the company on June 13th as Vice President of Finance and Administration. All three will report to the board of directors.

Greg Coughlin, in his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will head up all the Company’s sales and marketing activities, focusing on our existing customers as well as expanded and strategically targeted opportunities for the Company.

Rick Miller, as Vice President of Operations will be managing all aspects of our Linehaul Operations, the full load and less than load areas of our business, MacKinnon Global Logistics efforts, and warehousing operations.

Graham Keltie, as Vice President of Finance and Administration will be responsible for all areas of finance and corporate administration including Information Technology, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Safety and Driver Resources.

Other recent appointments to the Senior Management team of MacKinnon Transport Inc include Jim Nelson who joined the company in November 2004 as Manager of Human Resources, and Richard Sharpe who joined in January 2005 as Manager of Maintenance.
