GUELPH, Ont. — The Ministry of Training, Colleges, & Universities and the Apprenticeship Board have chosen MacKinnon Transport’s main terminal location to officially sign the first apprentice in the new Tractor-Trailer Commercial Driver Apprenticeship tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.

The truck driving profession is one of the oldest and largest with no official training or certification other than the requirement of an AZ license. This apprenticeship will offer a higher level of training and safety as well as open new opportunities to the current and upcoming work force of the future.

“MacKinnon Transport is proud to have the first apprentice in the program and to be a part of such a milestone for the trucking industry,” said CEO Evan MacKinnon.
