BOLTON, Ont. — MSM Transportation has been named a Platinum Club member of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies awards program for 2006. The awards recognize an elite level of excellence in Canadian-owned and managed businesses.

To become a Platinum Club member, companies must maintain their designation as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies for at least six consecutive years, subject to annual operational and financial review. MSM Transportation has qualified for the 50 Best Managed award since 1997.

MSM Transportation is a member of the MSM Group of Companies, which offers a range of commercial transportation services called Integrity Driven Solutions. MSM defines this as using the broadest array of tools, talent, and techniques to provide reliable, on-time transportation by any mode, anywhere in North America.

“What defines MSM is our ability to understand, develop, and enhance the relationship between ourselves and our customers,” said Mike McCarron, managing partner of MSM Transportation. “This award reinforces our leadership position in the North American transportation market and plays to our strength in delivering Integrity Driven Solutions. We’re proud of our Platinum Club membership.”

The 50 Best Managed Companies award, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, Queen’s School of Business, and the National Post newspaper, will be presented Feb. 7. A complete list of award winners can be found at www.canadas50best.com.
