COMPETITION WATCH: Ontario Truck Training Academy acquires DriveWise

BARRIE, Ont. — Ontario Truck Training Academy (OTTA), a truck driver training school serving Oshawa, Peterborough and Lindsay areas, has acquired DriveWise, a provider of simulation learning solutions. The acquisition includes the state-of-the-art truck-driving simulator manufactured by MPRI, an L-3 Communications company and global provider of vehicle and maritime simulation products, training and services. DriveWise’s state-of-the-art three-channel driving simulator showcases the OTTA solution. In addition to the simulator, DriveWise will provide complete solution support, train-the-trainer course, simulator and exercise scenarios.

“OTTA has always had a known reputation for forward thinking in the industry. The purchasing of DriveWise will ensure Ontario Truck Training Academy is on the cutting edge of driver training in Canada,” said DriveWise president and CEO, Lesley de Repentigny.
