GREEN BAY, Wis. – Schneider National Inc. has created two new positions to strengthen its position in the international marketplace.
Jack Gross has been named vice president and general manager, International, and Brian Bowers has been named senior vice president, Global Business Development. In addition, Bill Matheson has been named vice president and general manager, Intermodal Services.
In the newly created role of vice president and general manager, International, Jack Gross will be responsible for all Schneider Logistics business outside of North America. Jack will focus on expanding Schneider’s European business and international presence, as well as leading the development of Schneider’s Import Logistics offering. Prior to joining Schneider Logistics in 2004, Jack was instrumental in building the international operations for CTI Logistics (now TNT Logistics) in Europe and South America.
In the newly created role of senior vice president, Global Business Development, Brian Bowers will be responsible for sales within Schneider’s European, Asian and Mexican regions, in addition to having business development accountabilities for Schneider’s emerging international service offerings.
Schneider has been recognized by the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) as its 2003 Intermodal Provider of the Year and by Wal-Mart as its Intermodal Provider of the Year for two years running while under Brian’s direction.
Bill Matheson, named vice president and general manager, Intermodal Services, will be responsible for the general management of all asset and non-asset intermodal services. Intermodal represents one of Schneider’s fastest growing businesses. Currently, Bill is vice president and general manager of Schneider’s Dedicated and Specialty division, one of the largest and most respected in the industry.
