GREEN BAY, Wis. — Schneider National Bulk Carriers has been awarded the American Chemistry Councils Responsible Care Certification.

The Responsible Care Management System aligns well with Schneider Nationals core values: safety first and always, and integrity in every action, said Joe Kizaur, director of loss prevention for Schneider National Bulk Carriers. We adopted the Responsible Care program to demonstrate our sincere commitment to our associates, customers and the public. This certification is a testament to the hard work of everyone on our team to ensure that our customers products are delivered safely and securely.

Schneider National Bulk Carriers received final certification in March 2007 for its Responsible Care Management System. The certification is the result of a year-long effort to ensure that its health, safety, security and environmental practices are in compliance with the program, company officials say.

Responsible Care is the chemical industrys global voluntary initiative under which companies work together to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance, and to communicate about their products and processes. Schneider National Bulk Carriers joined the program in 1995 as a Responsible Care partner.
