GREEN BAY, Wis. — Schneider Logistics has named three Canadian carriers among its Carriers of the Year award winners for 2010. The Canadian recipients were Ottaway Motor Express of Woodstock, Ont., TST Overland Express of Mississauga, Ont., and Kingsway Transport of Mississauga, Ont.

The three trucking firms were honoured along with 15 other US-based companies at Schneider’s eighth annual Carrier Recognition Conference in Green Bay, Wis., this fall. Representatives from more than 140 carriers attended this year’s event.

The Carrier of the Year distinction is presented to Schneider third-party logistics carriers that serve a variety of transportation modes and excel in operational performance, exceptional service, safety and ease of conducting business. Carriers recognized at this year’s conference represent the top 1% of service providers moving freight on behalf of Schneider Logistics’ customers, the company announced.

“This event is a great opportunity to say thank you to those carriers who help us to supply best-in-class logistics solutions to our mutual customers,” said Jack Gross, senior vice-president of Schneider Logistics. “These providers exemplify the high standards needed to bring exceptional value to our customers’ supply chains.”
